Course Description

Learning Objective

To introduce students to cutting edge issues in animation that are not covered by existing ADM courses. To act as a platform for the delivery of special knowledge relating to the research of existing and visiting faculty.


This is a practice-based studio course intended to examine cutting-edge and relevant issues in animation. It will be offered in conjunction with high-profile faculty visitation or as a reflection of a special initiative by a current member of faculty and its content will reflect the specialist nature of their research and experience.

Learning Outcome

The students will been exposed to cutting edge issues in animation with a special emphaisis on the focused knowdge of the person delivering the course.

Student Asses​sment

  1. Final Assessment: 30%

  2. Continuous Assessment: 70% (of which at least 15% is participation)

Continuous assessment components may include:

  • Studio-based exercises and projects

  • Individual, group and team-based assignments
